History of C4

Christ Center Community Church C4 is a Christ Center Word Center family being build up by the Lord as we devote ourselves to the Word of God, to fellowship, to breaking of bread, and to prayers Acts 2:42.   It is a blessing for the true church to be called together to praise His name in songs, Hymns, and open His Word. The Lord brought C4 together as a congregation in 2007. C4 congregation began on Selfridge Air National Guard Base as a local church in the Base Chapel. The Lord led us to the City of New Baltimore community where we now serve. Throughout its history C4 has held to the essentials of biblical orthodoxy. C4 maintains a position that identifies it as non-charismatic, dispensational.

Doctrine of C4

TRINITY

God has revealed Himself in three Persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit yet one God. Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 8:6

The Bible

The Bible is the Old and the New Testaments, is the divine revelation of God in Jesus Christ verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit and given to the church. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21,

The Lord Jesus

Jesus Christ is 100% God and 100% man that took on human nature by the divine conception of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.  Jesus Christ died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for those that believe. He rose from the grave, ascended and is now at the right hand of God interceding for His church. He will come again. Colossians 1:15, Philippians 2:5-8, Matthew 1:18-25, Peter 2:24-25 Luke 24, Hebrews 4:14-16, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, Matthew 25:31-46,Revelation 11:15-17, 20:4-6, 11-15.

Man

Man was created in the image of God but sin, and lost communion with God. Unless a person is born again, that person cannot see the Kingdom of God. Salvation is by grace through Faith in Jesus and Jesus alone. Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 3:10, 23, John 3:3, Acts 13:38-39; 4:12, John 3:16; Matthew 25:46, 2 Corinthians 5:1, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10.

The Church

The Church is the elect company of believers baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a dying world. One day the church will be ruptured. Acts 2:41; 15:13-17

Ephesians 1:3-6, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:6-8, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.

Ministry and Church Office

C4 distinguishes between ministry function and church office.  We believe all believers; woman and man have the responsibility to take an active role in edifying the church.  We believe   the Holy Spirit distributes ministry gifts to believers without distinction of any kind. c4 understands that the biblical office of elder/pastor in the early church was gender specific and in keeping with scripture we believe in the male gender role of Pastor/Elder. Genesis 1:26-27; 9:6, 1 Peter 2:5, 9; Revelation 1:6, Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 14:12; Ephesians 4:11-13,Ephesians 4:7-13; 1 Corinthians 12; 1 Peter 4:10-11, Ephesians 5:17-21, 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9
